FAQ'S on Splash Windows

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Should I paint my windows?

Window Splashes are used for various reasons. But mostly they are used to make the public aware of sales or special promotions, ambiance (Seasonal decorations), new location, a locator, etc.
For example:If you are in a large shopping center, splash windows help you to stand out from the rest. I have had clients tell me that they had an increase in sales since the window went up. If you are at the back of a large almost empty shopping center this will bring you closer to the street letting new customers see you. Splash windows give you high visibility with the bright neon colors and attention grabbing designs.

How Will It Benefit My Business?

Window Splashes are a P-O-P advertising device that sells 24 hours a day for as long as it's on the window. Most of my customers have seen 10-20% increase in sales when using window splashes.
Did you know that P-O-P devices yield a higher return than most forms of promotion? Compare it to print advertising, which gets thrown out or never gets seen. Also, according to the National Association of Advertisers, on-premises signage costs much less per impression than any other form of advertising. In general, surveys have shown that on-site signage typically increases foot traffic between 20-50%, compared to only 2% for radio advertising, 5% for television, and 8% for newspaper advertising.

How Long Will The Paint Last?

Window splashes are intended to be temporary and changed regularly. I use a water based acrylic paint, which is not rain proof.  I can apply a clear protective, overcoat but again this is not rain proof, but it helps. In either case, I offer no guarantees.
If you have an overhang or awning, the design will last even longer because it is protected from the harsh elements of the sun and rain. In direct sunlight designs can last up to 3 months without fading noticeably.

Do You Clean The Paint Off?

No! I stay busy just painting them. I can offer you instructions on how to do it yourself or can possibly refer you to a window washer.

How Much Does It Cost?

Pricing is based on a number of factors. Primarily, I charge by the linear foot and amount of copy. My base charge includes: footage of glass covered and four words of copy.
Extras include
Painting higher than 7 ft. off the ground
Word count over four(4)
Type of paint used
(for a permanent sign, I use One Shot enamels that cost much more than acrylics)
